These terms apply when you use this learning portal or buy a course from The Real Transport Toolbox ("TRTT", "we", "us"). By creating an account, enrolling or buying, you agree to them.

1. What you get

Each course gives you online access to its modules, knowledge checks and, once you pass, a certificate. Free Toolbox Talks are free to open with a learner account. Paid courses unlock when payment is confirmed.

2. Your account

Use your own name and a working email address. Your certificate is issued in the name on your account.
Each account is for one person. Do not share your login. Each person on a team needs their own enrolment so their record is their own.
You are responsible for keeping your login private.

3. Team access

Businesses can enrol several people. Email us with names, emails and roles, and we will set up access. The business that pays may see each enrolled person's progress, scores and certificates.

4. Certificates

A certificate is issued when you score 80% or better across a course's knowledge checks.
Each certificate is dated and carries its own certificate ID.
A TRTT certificate is evidence of training for your records. It is not an accredited unit of competency or a nationally recognised qualification.
We may cancel a certificate obtained by sharing accounts or by someone else completing the course for you.

5. Not legal advice

Our courses are practical training based on the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility, WHS duties and the regulator's published material at the date each course was written. They are not legal advice. Laws change. Check current requirements with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (nhvr.gov.au) or your state regulator before you rely on them.

Western Australia and the Northern Territory do not apply the HVNL. If you operate there, check your local law. Some older courses were written before the HVNL amendments that commenced on 1 August 2026; those courses say so.

6. Payments and our 30-day guarantee

Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our checkout provider.
Thirty-day money-back guarantee: email us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. Access to the course ends when the refund is made.
This guarantee sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Our content

All course content, videos, images, templates and tools belong to TRTT or our licensors. You may use them for your own training and inside your own business. You may not copy, resell, republish or share them publicly, or load them into another training platform, without our written permission.

8. Fair use of the portal

Do not try to get around payment, scrape content, interfere with the portal or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.

9. Availability

The portal runs on third-party services. We work to keep it available but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may update or retire course content to keep it current with the law.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows, our liability for any course is limited to giving you access again or refunding what you paid for it. We are not liable for decisions you or your business make based on course content, or for any indirect loss.

11. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
