This policy explains what personal information The Real Transport Toolbox ("TRTT", "we", "us") collects through this learning portal, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. What we collect

Account details: your name and email address when you sign up or enrol.
Learning records: the courses you open, your progress, your knowledge check answers and scores, and the certificates issued to you.
Purchase details: what you bought, when, and the billing name and email used. Card details are entered on our payment provider's checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
Messages: anything you send us by email, such as a question, a team enrolment request or a refund request.
Technical data: browser type, device, pages visited and cookies needed to keep you signed in.

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information) and ask that you do not send it to us.

2. Why we collect it

To give you access to the courses you enrolled in or bought.
To track your progress and issue your certificate.
To process payments, refunds and team access.
To answer your questions and give support.
To send course updates and TRTT news, where you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
To keep the portal secure and improve our courses.

3. Employers and team access

If your employer enrolled you or paid for your course, we may share your enrolment, progress, scores and certificate with that employer. That is the point of a training record. We do not share anything else about you with them.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this service for us, and only as far as they need it:

Mini Course Generator, which hosts this portal, your learner account and your learning records.
SamCart and its payment processors, which run our checkout and take payments.
Email and automation tools we use to deliver course access and send messages.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. Overseas storage

Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We use established providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.

6. Cookies

The portal uses cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser, but signing in and course progress may not work without them.

7. Security and retention

Your account is protected by sign-in. We keep learning records and certificates for as long as your account is active, so you can show evidence of training when asked. You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We may need to keep purchase records for tax and legal reasons.

8. Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your account deleted. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, email us first and we will work to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
